Risk Management Group
What is Risk Management Group?
Risk Management Group (RMG) is a multi-agency group that meets on a fortnightly basis to work with partners to safeguard the public, problem solve and reduce risk to those with multiple disadvantages, problematic individuals, geographic areas and buildings. This includes but is not limited to: Anti-social Behaviour, Begging and Homelessness, Environmental Nuisance, Noise Nuisance etc.
The RMG aims to work with both statutory and third sector partners to reduce the risk and threat to a safer threshold, or until the risk and threat has been mitigated.
Referrals to Risk Management Group
Any agency can make a referral into the RMG for multi-agency discussion and consideration. The criteria for referral is as follows:
- Vulnerable people with multiple disadvantage
- Problematic individuals with or without multiple disadvantage
- Problematic places (areas & buildings)
- Problematic individuals not exclusively with multiple disadvantage
To make a referral, please complete the attached form, providing as much relevant detail as possible, and email to communitysafety@blackpool.gov.uk. The referrer should attend the RMG meeting, if this is not possible a representative with good knowledge of the individual's needs should be identified to attend.
