Spotlight on Safeguarding Concerns and Enquiries in Blackpool
Aim of the Session: to raise awareness of the types of safeguarding concerns being reported in Blackpool and how these are leading to Section 42 safeguarding enquiries. This session will help us better understand local trends, reflect on current practice, and identify areas for improvement.
What we’ll cover:
- A national perspective – what the wider safeguarding picture looks like across the country.
- Local insights – where safeguarding concerns in Blackpool are coming from.
- Quarterly data review – a look at the number of concerns raised in each category during the last quarter of 2025.
- Enquiry outcomes – exploring the number of completed Section 42 enquiries by category.
- Identifying gaps – using the data to consider where gaps may exist and why, helping us to shape future safeguarding responses.
This session is designed to be informative, reflective, and collaborative — supporting our shared commitment to safeguarding adults at risk.
