LADO BRIEFING
Overview
The LADO Briefings support knowledge and understanding of allegations management procedures with the Blackpool LADO service for 1 hour. The session will provide information on threshold for referral to LADO, processes and responsibilities, examples of good practice and case scenarios. They are available to all sectors and organisations working with children: employers, responsible safeguarding leads and employees with safeguarding responsibility working in Blackpool.
Aims/Objectives
- Understand the purpose and role of the LADO in the allegations management process
- Recognise when it is appropriate to refer to the LADO
- Familiarise yourself with the information required when referring to the LADO
- Understand the process which is undertaken when an allegation is made and possible outcomes
- Identify what is safe and unsafe practice when working with children and young people.
The sessions are 1 hour long, delivered via Teams by Laura Dalton (LADO) or Catherine Hewer (Deputy LADO). Your joining link will be sent two weeks prior to the session.
