Blackpool’s Response to Neglect and Self-Neglect

Please join us for an overview and launch of the Blackpool Neglect Strategy for children, young people and families; and the Blackpool Safeguarding Adult Board multi-agency guidance for responding to Self-Neglect.

Target Audience:

This launch is aimed at all frontline staff across all agencies working with children, adults and families in Blackpool.

9:25am Why: the reason behind developing fresh approaches to Neglect and Self-Neglect in Blackpool.

• Changing our culture approach – how we support families & households

10:45am Break – Move to Workshop

All attendees will attend two workshops:

1. Blackpool Neglect Strategy for children, young people and families
   • Overview of the strategy
   • Practitioner Guidance
   • Graded Care Profile 2 

2. Blackpool Safeguarding Adult Board Multi-Agency Guidance for Responding to Self-Neglect
   • Overview of multi-agency guidance
   • Pan-Lancashire arrangements for self-neglect
